Terms & Conditions



In compliance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) reservations are subject to acceptance of our Terms & Conditions. Prepayment is required by client to secure the accommodation. We require a 50% deposit of the total accommodation to secure a reservation, the outstanding balance is payable on arrival and any additional expenses on departure. Confirmation of deposit payment is required by direct payment to the bank account for Sitatunga Guest Lodge & Transfers.

Payments terms

Rates are quoted per room, per night, in South African currency (ZAR) with the breakfast and VAT (14%) included. We reserve the right to alter or amend rates and rate periods at any time.This does not affect bookings already made.
Payment will be the net amount and must be free of any commissions and/or bank charges.
Payment must be made into the South African Bank Account of Sitatunga Guest Lodge & Transfers.
Please email proof of payment to bookings@sitatunga.co.za.
Alternatively, credit card details for direct debit. All major credit cards are accepted. (No Diners club and No Cheque) Reservations are only secured on proof of payment of the required deposit on the first come, first served basis. We cannot be held responsible for loss of a booking/s due to delayed payment.

Cancellation Policy

The guest can cancel free of charge until 7 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the first night if they cancel in the 7 days before arrival.

Non-Smoking Policy

Please note Sitatunga Guest Lodge is a non-smoking facility. Should the non-smoking policy of our establishment be ignored, penalties will be levied without consultation. For your convenience ashtrays are available at the designated smoking areas.

Arrival & Departure

Check in is available from 2:00pm to 8:00pm (14:00 – 20:00) on the day of arrival. Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival.
The check-out must be done by 10:00am on the morning of departure.
We may provide secure luggage storage facilities if required.


It is your responsibility to take out the appropriate personal travel insurance.

Damage to Contents/Property

In the event of any damages to the room, a suitable amount will be added to your final bill to rectify the damage and/or replace the affected item(s).

Car Parking

A secure car park is available for guests. Cars are parked here at owners' risk.


Pets are not permitted at Sitatunga Guest Lodge. However, well behaved assistance dogs are welcome.


You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at R250 per set.


As Evening Meals are purchased for and prepared to order, if an order is placed and cancelled after 12 noon on the day of dining or not taken for any reason, the full cost of the meal will remain payable.
We charge a Dinner R290. The dinner will consist in a main course, a dessert and a drink.


Any data collected as a result of your booking will be stored in accordance with the provisions of current Data Protection legislation.


Please inform us as soon as you are aware of flight delays and change of scheduled flight times.
We reserve the right to refuse to carry any persons or objects that the driver deems to be likely to cause him or his vehicleharmer damage in whatsoever form.
The charged rates will vary according to the type of vehicle/service required.
We reserve the right to apply a surcharge to:

  • Additional stops on route (price may vary),
  • After hours (+R50 between 8pm to 6:00am),
  • Waiting time (+R250 per hour),
  • Use of trailer (+R115 per way).

Cancellation must be done by writing (email or message) and 24 hours prior to the time of the booking to not get charged. A trip cancelled less then 24 hours prior to the time of the booking will be fully charged.
